Featured Photo Friday – Salish Lodge Wedding

For this week’s featured photo, I chose an image from Camille and Nick’s beautiful Salish Lodge wedding. (You can check out the full wedding blog here.)

I love this image because you can see the pure joy on both of their faces and I’m also a sucker for a starburst of light during first dances.

I shot this image with my Nikon 24-70mm and the settings were:

ISO 640, aperture f/4.0, shutter speed 1/160

I also had my SB910 speedlight on a light stand (set at 1/64 power) about 8 feet in the air and 15 or so feet from Camille & Nick, which is what created the starburst of light.

Jessi - This is such a wonderful image Nikki! I too love the starbursts and I’m just curious what kind of transmitters and receivers you use to capture these types of images with the off camera flash?
