I have set some ginormous goals for myself for 2013. Most of which pertain to my photography business…that I have been living and breathing lately. So, I decided that I needed to set some personal goals that aren’t related to business to try to create a balance between my career and my personal life.
I realized that I have a lot of sequins in my closet that I rarely ever wear. I need to change that. I know the goal to wear my sequins more often might sound silly, but there is more to it than just frolicking around in my sparkly treasures.
To me, the goal to wear my blingin’ clothes means that I will need to find places and events to actually wear them to. Which means that Dan and I will need to start planning more exciting date nights. Which means that we will explore our city more. Which means that we would need to break our routine of eating only at the restaurants that we can walk to from our house.
Don’t get me wrong, I love our little local spots and I have no problem being a homebody. But, I just know there is an amazing goat cheese dish and a stunning off-the-map view of Seattle out there just waiting to be discovered.
My next goal is to cook more often. A while back I wrote about my super cute mixer that I never use here and, with my new goal, I’m determined to start taking the Tiffany blue mixing machine more seriously.
Maybe I’ll even cook up something yummy while wearing sequins. That would really be a double whammy.
