I was shocked when Kendra told me she had never had glamour portraits taken of her. Not only is she is an excellent makeup artist, but she is also very beautiful and, for some reason, I assumed that all beautiful makeup artists had plenty of experience being photographed! I must have been confusing model with makeup artist. I have a feeling that Kendra could be both if she wanted.
When I heard that Kendra didn’t have any glamour portraits prior to our shoot, it got me thinking. How many other women out there don’t have a photo of themselves that they can feel proud of?
I believe that every woman should have images of herself that represent her best self. We are so busy and get so into our daily grind and it seems that it isn’t very often that we take time for ourselves. Time to celebrate our beauty.
I love doing glamour portraits. It is such a great feeling to hear my clients say that they can’t believe they look like that in their photos.
Not only is it so fun to have a glamour session done, complete with getting your hair and makeup done, but how fun would it be to show your children and grandchildren your portraits 30 years from now? They’ll be all, “Wow! Look at GRANDMA!”
Do yourself a favor and celebrate your beauty. Make sure that you have images of yourself that you are proud of. Photographs capture a moment in time. Our memories fade, but images do not.
