This Friday’s Featured Photo is from Megan & Mike’s engagement shoot. How cute are they on their tandem bike?! You can see a ton more images from their super fun session here.
My best advice to capture moving subject during a photo shoot? Practice before the shoot!! I practiced with my hubs on his bike ahead of time so that I knew I would get the shot I wanted in a matter of seconds and we could move on to other things without wasting any time.
My settings were f/9, iso 200, shutter speed 1/30, and I was at 70mm on my 24-70. The trick is to “pan” the camera with them at the same speed, but you keep your feet planted in the same spot. So, I stood in one spot and had my camera on a monopod because of the slow shutter speed. As they rode by, I followed them with my camera and clicked away!
